The Truth

Many people wondered if Errol Spence Jr. was still the same great boxer he had been before his car accident. Well, he put all the skeptics to rest with his performance against Yordenis Ugas. To be frank, Errol was a man on a mission, going into the fight like a bull in a china shop. He emphasized all week coming up to this huge battle that he wanted the knockout, and he was determined to get it throughout the fight. Errol was aggressive and sharp virtually every round, aiming for Ugas's body and then delivering several devastating strikes to the face, causing Ugas's eye to swell up. However, in the sixth round, Errol's mouthpiece fell out, and poor communication between him and the ref resulted in Ugas throwing blows that, quite honestly, surprised and staggered Errol. But, like any other adversity Errol has faced in his life, he remained calm, regained his composure, and carried out the strategy he and his trainer Derrick James devised.

This fight showcased that Errol is still deadly in the welterweight division and is one of the best boxers in the world. Errol is now undefeated at 28-0 and the unified welterweight world champion, with only one belt remaining for him to earn. In order to be the Thanos of the welterweight division, Errol Spence must face Terence Crawford for the WBO championship. Fans all around the world have been yearning and demanding for this showdown to happen for years. Boxing enthusiasts believe that now is the ideal moment for this fight since the boxers are still in their prime, belts are on the line, and tension is at an all-time high. Errol has proven time and again that he is at his best when the lights are brightest, so it will be incredible to witness these two great boxers square off soon. It's great to see Errol not only back in the ring but competing at a high level following his awful car accident and eye injury.
