The First Of Many

The Texas Southern University Football Team, led by Head Coach Clarence Mckinney has been yearning for a victory. The TSU football team improved steadily each game leading up to the homecoming game. The moment has arrived for Head Coach Mckinney to win his first game at the helm at TSU. This team did not come out to play any games, as they demolished  North American University by a score of 69-0. What can I say, TSU was firing on all cylinders as they won by a landslide Saturday afternoon. The special teams, offense, and defense all had a certain swagger about them this game as if they were on a mission to land Coach Mckinney his first victory.

As Texas Southern University demonstrated, this was much more than a win. This enormous victory boosted the team's confidence and gave them their first taste of success. Winning in sports is like chocolate to a fat kid: you can't just have one. During Saturday's game, it was clear that this team has a family atmosphere. They praised each other's spectacular plays regardless of who was playing. It's a different feeling in football when you know your teammates have your back. Head Coach Mckinney is a superb recruiter, and there is no doubt that he has assembled a group of players that genuinely enjoy the game and are eager to give it their all when on the field. We all know that it's not about how you start, but how you finish. If the TSU football team can maintain this level of play throughout the season, Tiger fans will be in for a real treat. This team has a deep bond, and their motto is simply "Something To Prove," because the naysayers don't believe in them, and it's up to them to prove them wrong.
