PATIENCE

There is an old cliché that goes, "Good things come to those who wait," and this phrase relates to Texas Southern University running back Da"Veon Ford. Da'Veon has a strong love for the game of football that dates back to his youth. Some athletes dream about being outstanding football players, but Da'Veon works tirelessly to accomplish all of his goals. Life is oftentimes like playing, running back in that you must be patient and wait for the correct moment to present itself. This skilled running back's greatest days are undoubtedly ahead of him; he's in a perfect position to learn from upperclassmen running backs like Jacorey Howard, La'Darius Owens, Kevin Harris, and Dominic Franklin. Most people are unaware that he was awarded Breakout Player of the Year and Running Back of the Year when attending Bellaire High School and North Shore High School.

Every moment Da'Veon steps onto the football field, he has what many refer to as "that dog" in him. Standing 5'8 and weighing 195 pounds, he has the heart of a lion and is prepared for any battle that he may encounter. The fact that he was a high school track star now helps him enormously because, if defenders are not paying close attention, he will run circles around you and leave you in the dust. His skill set as a running back is limitless, and he treats the game like a genuine professional, giving 150 percent and leaving everything on the field whenever his number is called.. When his time comes, he will undoubtedly shine and achieve remarkable things for the TSU football team. There's a blessing in waiting, Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
