A cornerback is one of the most crucial positions on a football field since they are entrusted with containing the opposing team's wide receiver. There are several different sorts of receivers, from quick to physical to a combination of the two, but the major role of a cornerback is to play at an exceptional level regardless of who is in front of them. Texas Southern University cornerback Isaiah Hamilton does not back down from a challenge and possesses the skills to shut down your favorite SWAC wide out. Last season, Isaiah flashed glimpses of his tremendously bright future on numerous occasions. With his physicality and speed, he's a nightmare to line up against on Saturdays.
He rated among the best SWAC cornerbacks in interceptions, pass breakups, and PFF (Pro Football Focus) grade of 86.7 in just his freshman season. With his spectacular performance last season, this exceptional football player had a taste of success, and you can bet he's itching to outdo himself this season. While watching Isaiah play last season, I observed that his toughness was on another level. To paint a picture for everyone, Isiah had a hand injury close to the end of the 2021 campaign that required him to wear a cast. Some football players would take time off to rest and heal, yet Isaiah not only played but produced some fantastic plays that left fans speechless. With last year's experience and familiarity with the defensive scheme, Isaiah will reach new heights this fall. He possesses the size of some of the NFL's top cornerbacks, like Jalen Ramsey, Greg Newsome II, Darius Slay, and Patrick Peterson, and there is no question that with hard work and dedication, he will one day be on their level.
