A game-changer is an event, idea, or method that causes a dramatic shift in the way people do or think about something. That definition most describes Donald De La Haye aka Deestroying because he gave up his dream of playing football to pursue an unknown path at the time. People thought he was insane for prioritizing a YouTube career over a college career. In reality, he took control of his career by refusing to be censored or controlled by the NCAA. Of course, he envisions playing in the National Football League, but he is building a YouTube empire with his innovative content. His videos are always entertaining and jaw-dropping, including his much-loved Friday Night Lights series, 1 on 1's, and videos with NFL stars and top high school prospects.
When you look at the current status of the NCAA, Name, Image, and Likeness are making athletes a boatload of money as they continue their undergraduate careers. It's clear that Deestroying was ahead of his time, but he ultimately paved the way for many athletes today. He has evolved since his collegiate days, establishing his own brand called "The Eleven," obtaining a team in the Fan Controlled Football league called the Glacier Boys, and creating high-quality material that delights his Youtube audience to the nth degree. The man is really gifted, and you can see in each video that he genuinely enjoys what he does. "If you find a job you love, you'll never work again," Winston Churchill said. Deestroying has undoubtedly discovered this and continues to change the game in his own way.
