Major League Baseball fans will always connect the Houston Astros with cheating. The key goal for the Astros organization is to demonstrate that they can not only go deep in the playoffs, but also win the championship without any form of cheating. The old saying goes that time heals all wounds, but it appears that players and fans still have a grudge against the Astros. Regardless of what the naysayers had to say, the Astros let their play on the field do the talking this season. For the most part, this group silenced a lot of individuals and proved a lot of people wrong. We're all aware that when you're doing everything right, somebody has to tarnish your name by bringing something up from your past.
After a controversial victory over the Astros in Game 3 of the ALDS, Chicago White Sox pitcher Ryan Tepera chose to throw fuel to the fire. He even went above and beyond to point out the Astros sign-stealing in 2017 and claiming that there was a clear change when in their batting when they came to the Guaranteed Rate Field. When Astros manager Dusty Baker and players learned of these remarks, they chose to take the high road. As a competitor, you know that Ryan Tepera's comments did not sit well with anyone in that ball club. Poking a sleeping bear is never a smart idea since you never know what consequences you'll encounter. The Astros players may have taken the high road in their post-game interviews, but their bats made all the noise as they defeated the White Sox 10 to 1. If someone were to interview Ryan after yesterday's game, I'm sure he would be quiet as a church mouse and wish he hadn't made those remarks. The Houston Astros organization clearly has a chip on its shoulder and is eager to show to everyone that they win a championship this season.
