The offensive line is the most undervalued and crucial aspect of any football team. The productivity of an offense is determined by the offensive line, which is responsible for protecting the quarterback long enough for him to make the proper read while simultaneously providing gaps for the running back to generate positive yards. Drake Centers, a senior offensive lineman at Texas Southern University, possesses all of the key traits for a great o-lineman. Drake is known for his intelligence, tenacity, superb footwork, agility, strength, and good leadership qualities. At 6'4 and 300 pounds, he poses a threat to any defensive lineman he faces.
Drake has worked relentlessly to improve his game from Tatum High School to Texas Southern University. Last season, his hard work paid off when he was named First Team All SWAC. When you combine Drake with Marque Johnson, Reggie Neal, Cameron Handy, and a slew of other outstanding offensive linemen at Texas Southern University, you've got yourself an entertaining offense to watch this season. The sky is the limit for Drake as he enters his senior season, and I have no doubt that he will be named First Team All SWAC again this fall. I'm praying he has a healthy and productive season, showcasing potential NFL scouts that he's ready for the next level.
