The Texas Southern University football team and Head Coach Clarence McKinney are continuously looking for outstanding talent to help them win games. TSU cornerback Raheme Fuller is a clear example of this; towering at 6'3 212 pounds, the super gifted athlete is more than ready to help bring the SWAC Championship to Third Ward. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Raheme began his football journey, and from the moment he stepped foot on a field, he never looked back. He generated a brilliant career at Boyd Anderson High School that earned him the distinction of three-star athlete and caught the attention of several D-1 institutions. Colleges including West Virginia, Middle Tennessee State, East Carolina, Fresno State, and many others were vying for the outstanding cornerback's services. After all was said and done, Raheme chose to take his talents to Middle Tennessee State University. “Life isn’t about the number of ups and downs that you experience, but how you deal with them.” Raheme had his ups and downs at Middle Tennessee State, but in 2022 he decided to enter the transfer portal in search of a better opportunity to advance his football career. He did not leave Middle Tennessee empty-handed, as he finished with a degree in criminal justice, demonstrating his exceptional intelligence on the field and in the classroom.
Raheme fits in well in the TSU football secondary, and when partnered with cornerback coach Darren Garrigan, the sky is the limit for this phenomenal talent. The cornerbacks are determined to make a statement this season and have dubbed themselves "Dead End." Opposing wide receivers will have a difficult time playing against these guys because they are tough, physical, and will not back down to anything or anybody. Throughout the fall camp, Raheme appears at ease and plays with enthusiasm and joy. He's hungry for greatness, and opposing wide outs should be terrified when matched up with him. There's no doubt that we've discovered a hidden gem, and I can't wait to see him shine this season.
