A Disater

This NBA season has been full of unexpected twists and turns, but no one could have predicted the Los Angeles Lakers' current struggles. The Lakers have been difficult to watch due to their lack of defense, identity, and offense. At the age of 36, LeBron James has been carrying this team on his shoulders, amazingly looking as if he hasn't lost a stride. Meanwhile, his Big 3 counterparts haven't been able to match LBJ's outstanding season. Anthony Davis has been battling to reclaim his dominance from the Lakers' 2020 championship run. It's made tougher by the fact that he sustained an unfortunate injury that will keep him out for a long time. Russell Westbrook, on the other hand, hasn't supplied the much-needed spark at point guard for the Lakers. Wild shots, a slew of turnovers, and erratic play haven't helped matters.

The fact that the Lakers could play superb defense that resulted in points on the other end of the court was the key reason for their dominance in 2020. This team is the polar opposite, and Laker fans are demanding immediate change. LeBron James has already worn the GM hat and suggested moves to the organization in the past. For the Lakers to be a legitimate NBA finals contender this season, something needs to shake. They're on the outside looking in right now, and unless they make some changes quickly, one of LeBron's lucrative prime seasons will be squandered.
