Texas Southern University has produced a plethora of remarkable and brilliant individuals. Barbara Jordan, Mickey Leland, Jim Hines, Al Green, and Megan The Stallion are just a few of the noteworthy icons that have graduated from TSU. Meshach Sullivan, the Houston Astros' communications coordinator, is another icon who sharpened his skills at TSU and blazed his own path to success. Meshach has always been someone I've looked up to as an aspiring journalist and recent TSU graduate. People may look at your current success without realizing the journey you took to get there. Meshach was laying the groundwork for a bright future by undertaking a variety of internships and jobs. With that being said those early mornings and late nights have paid off as he is enjoying the fruit of his labor.
Having the opportunity to take one of Texas Southern University's top instructors, Professor Serbino Sandifer-Walker, was a true blessing since she not only taught important aspects of journalism, but she also went out of her way to provide you with possibilities that will launch your career if she noticed you were totally involved. When I discovered Meshach was sitting in the same seat as me and being taught by the same professor, it dawned on me that I can achieve anything if I sharpen my skills and work really hard. It's inspiring to watch someone who graduated from the same college as you achieve so much in the profession you want to pursue. Meshach Sullivan is truly a TSU legend and deserves his flowers for what has done thus for in his career. I wish him continued success, and I hope we can collaborate in the future.
